Corpsect bird
PROJECT BACKGROUND
Originated from the ancient desert, Corpsect birds are regarded as carnivores by the locals and are seen as a symbol of death. Corpsect birds lurk under the sand and are attracted by flesh and blood. They use their sharp claws and tail to grab their prey, and secrete corrosive digestive juices from their guts in order to decompose and eat the prey. Some of the corpses will be converted into nutritious substances for the ecosystem. According to legend, people in ancient times sacrificed themselves to Corpsect bird in exchange for the prosperity of the oasis.
