Window – the Kinetic Architectural Element
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The newly designed windows will give people a fresh experience of using pedestrian bridges as they can adjust light intensity due to changes in the surrounding environment. Such a feature can lead to the sensation of temperature changes. It is hoped that this concept will reflect on the relationship between people’s living environment and nature.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Inspired by the plant of Mimosa pudica, which has a sensitive sensor in detecting and responding to external stimuli, this mechanism is applied to the design in order to link people’s living environment with nature.
