PROJECT BACKGROUND
The number of people attending worship services continues to decline (2.5%/year) in the recent years. While more younger believers are leaving as they find the church boring, many are frustrated by the dozens of rules that restrain them. Moreover, some youngster also find that the church is not an easy place for them to make friends.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The project of「少低頭，多溝通」 creates spaces that encourage interaction among people. The different spaces provide visitors with 'free' choices and encourage them to move to different places or join the various activities according to their mood. In this way, many 'meet by chance' coincidences can be created. While giving visitors more opportunities to communicate with each other, it also allows visitors to grasp the opportunities to chat with their peers and thus foster friendship among them. In order to allow visitors to feel relaxed and enjoy a variety of 'encounters', many different household furniture, such as sofas, wooden tables, etc., are used. The environment will encourage the visitors to chat and feel as if they are at home.
